I had all my requirements done a month ago and got my insurance preauth approval two weeks ago. They have my surgery 'possibly' on the 23rd but won't commit until they get the letter from my cardiologist re my stress test. I had my stress test a whole month ago! And his office is only a mile and a half from my surgeon's office. Everything else only took a couple of days to get from wherever to my doctors office. I'm so STRESSED right now. My window of opportunity is small (re trying not to have a negative impact on work). Tomorrow I'm making phone calls...

If I were you, id show up at my cardiologists office and ask for a letter. Tell them it's the only thing holding you back and you won't wait anymore. I work in an oncologists office and sometimes things get busy and the "more severe" cases get priority over something like an approval letter. So my suggestion is just keep on them! Be annoying! don't be afraid! Haha

Last Monday he sent the test results to them, Thursday he faxed the letter they needed, Friday I had my surgery date! When it finally happens, it happens fast! :-)
