Just wondering

I am 3 weeks out today and down 23 lbs. But not only am I dealing with daily diarrhea but intense left side pain. I am starting to question if I didn't do enough research or didn't ask enough questions. I have gone back to work full time and I am a teacher and by the end of the day I am hurting and miserable. Has anyone else been slow to heal? I am just really feeling down and want my old happy self to come back.

Have you contacted your doctor about the pain?

It takes time to heal from a major surgery. I took six weeks off and by the end of four weeks was feeling like my old self again. The left side pain should be getting better as it is from the heavy equipment torking on those muscles. I have not had to deal with diarrhea but I would buy some Imodium to help with that. Never hurts to email or call surgeons office...

I had a lot of left side pain as well. I found an abdominal binder helped put pressure on the incision and helped with the pain.

Thanks everyone. I got some immodium to help with the diarrhea and I am going to start intaking a fiber supplement. I am hoping that time is my friend. I guess I just need to give everything time to adjust to the changes in my body.
