Pre opp weight loss beginner

So last week was our first appointment and our insurance has no pre things we have to do before surgery. Our doctor only requires us to loose 5-10 lbs before the liquid diet lost 5 already... But could be may 5th we have the surgery... Really nervous about it and I haven't read anyone who has had the surgery that fast so is there anyone out there who been there???
