Anyone else a May surgery??? I seen my surgeon today & my big day is May 8th 2013!

I had surgery this morning. I'm doing well. Sipping a lot and walking every couple of hours. Definitely have pain but laying on the heading pad helps. They don't want me to drink anything besides g2 gatorade and water. I'm not hungry at all. I have to pee every few minutes it seems. Good luck to all!

Just wanted to give an update. It was a pretty rough morning, however; I'm feeling a little better this evening. The surgeon said he had to fix a hernia during the operation. I've walked and its ice chips, sips of water & pain meds every 2 hours. Thanks for all the prayers. I'm on the losers bench!!!!

I'm sorry you had a rough morning but glad to hear you are doing well now! At least you get water and ice chips I will have to wait until the next day. Keep us posted when you can and I hope you have a restful night.

I started getting nauseous! Oh my. They started me on anti nausea meds. Hope it works.

Looks like May might be out of the question for me. Insurance denied my approval based on some technical mumbo jumbo. I now have to see a different Psych & get another evaluation. The surgeon's office was notified of this on the 9th, yet I am just finding out today from an insurance letter I received in the mail. The surgeon's staff didn't even see fit to call & notify me. Anthem says I have "a few days" to submit the correct documentation or else I will have to go through an appeal process that can take up to 180 days (by which time I will not be insured). Grrr! I just want to cry!!!
