Weightloss

I am approaching the end of week 4 of being banded. Like others that have posted, I have very little restriction, but I am still only eating about half of what I normally would. So far, I have lost about 14 lbs - while that is more than I would have before being banded - I read other posts that say they have lost 20-25lbs in the first month. What is normal for the first month?

I know that once I get my fill along with exercising, my eating will decrease, causing weightloss along, but I am curious as to what is normal average weightloss after a fill.

Normal for the first month is very small loss or none. Anything lost is a bonus. The first 6 weeks is about healing.

I have lost quite a bit, but please note, I'm including my pre-op diet as well.

Everyone is different with the weight loss. Sometimes your body takes 2 or 3 months to get used to the new eating your doing, and suddenly - the pounds come off.

Also, sometimes slow and steady will win the race!

14 pounds lost forever, congratulations!

It veries so much from person to person. I would still aim for the 1 to 2 pounds per week and you will be in great shape. Sounds like your off to a great start.
