I am pre-op, and I'm drinking it all the way up to surgery. I only drink a very large cup in the morning, but when I have quit before, I only had a headache for 1-2 days. I figure for surgery day, I won't know whats going on and the day after, probably not much better. I love plain black coffee. I hope someday I will be able to enjoy it again, most likely a smaller cup!

I drank coffee all the way till the day before surgery!! I'm 4 weeks post op an I now drink decaf with a lil sugar free french vanilla creamer!!

I drank all the way to the day of surgery. Quit the day of surgery. I think the pain meds helped me detox off of it lol... Now almost a year out I started enjoying a cup a day about 2 months ago... I add my scoop of protein powder to it

That's going to be me too lol I have tried several times to quit but I keep convincing myself I still have plenty of time.

I'm almost done with my 6 month pre op diet and they have had me drinking only 1/2 caffeine so that I don't get that bad once I have to stop.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks before surgery and off caffeine now. Decaf coffee and tea.
