Thank you RNY!

I just want to post to say how thankful I am for RNY. I was able to enjoy the holiday without over eating. It was wonderful. No guilt. Did I have a taste of a few treats, yes but just a taste. I was satisfied and no holiday weight gain. I know I'm only five and a half weeks out but I can already tell my habits and mind set are starting to change. I just pray I can keep going.

How was everyone else?

I did very well too !!! I am almost 9 months post op and knew I could not and would not overeat. I too had a few tastes of certain foods but stuck to what I knew I could eat, stopped when I felt full and totally enjoyed myself :) This surgery is the best !!!!!

I just have to look at how much pie is left over to relise that this surgery has probly saved my life.

I told my Dr on Dec 13th when I went for my 4month check up just how happy I was to know going in to the holiday "eating season" that I wouldnt be over eating this year! I have been through both Thanksgiving and Christmas without "cheating" and it feels wonderful not to have to join in the coffee pot chats this morning about how much I over ate, how much I have to lose because of it....and how bad I feel.

I simply spoke up and said "I lost a few pounds over the holidays"..... cause I kept up my exercies routine and watched what I ate closely.... added a little more protein in too.

I too am so thankful for RNY. What a different holiday season this has been for all of us! I'm looking forward to the new year and hitting my goal weight and living life to the fullest! Such a different mindset then years past!!!
