Does Anyone Have Any Illnesses Like Multiple Sclerosis?

I have multiple sclerosis, and was wondering if anyone else does too? Did you have to come off of your meds before surgery? Was the surgeon hesitant to operate because of your illness?

Yes i am rr. I was on copaxone, but just switched to tysabri, so my immune system is crazy low. How are you feeling? Not that i am happy you have ms, but it is nice to see i am not alone. :)

I'm doing very well despite my neuros horror that I refuse shots. Tysabri was pretty controversial back a few years ago. I assume you must be stable. I had bad reactions to copax and avonex and then refused rebif. I'm also allergic to solumedrol! I was dx'd in 2007, how about you? Considering I don't take shots I'm doing well, hope you are too. When is your surgery, I don't have a date yet. Probably find out more by Wednesday. Take care, I'll be glad to talk "shop" anytime, lol. Kim

Im glad you are doing well! I was on copaxone, but had new disease activity, but im great. I have no problems walking or anything despite my many lesions. My memory is another story. It is the worst.

Tysabri is still pretty scary, but in the first year the risk is pretty low. I doubt i will be allowed to continue, and im fine with that.

I had issues with solumedrol too. I not only gained a ton of weight, it gave me compression fractures in my back. Its fine now, but i want to stay far far away. Lol.

I also dont have a sx date, but i am hoping the process moves pretty quickly. I meet with my surgeon next week so im excited for that.

When will you find out about yours?
