Took about 4 months before I could really eat much of anything, still have issues with smells and can't eat ground meat. The last 2 months have been much better, eating more and really focused on eating at l e at 80 grams of protein each day. Am down 107# ...am very happy with my progress.

live in Hillsboro Tx. Are you aware of any support group in Waco?

Not currently. I've been after Scott and White to start one for most of a year now. There's some talk of peer mentoring (I told them that I'd be interested) but haven't heard anything more about it. There are monthly meetings in Temple and Harker Heights, but that's a ways for you to drive.

I live in Cedar Park. That's near Round Rock and Austin. Anyone near me? I'm scheduled for bypass surgery on Dec. 8th after having sleeve surgery 15 months ago. I started at 363 and am down to 255 but weight loss has stopped so we are doing the second surgery. I would love some feedback on life with gastric bypass.
