Proof that you really have to be your own advocate. So I have been waiting to get all of my preop testing scheduled and placed several calls to my surgeons office without a response. Nothing scheduled.

So today I got online looked up all the places I needed appointments at. I called each one, explained what I needed and now I have everything scheduled within the next two weeks.

If I had not been proactive about getting everything scheduled it would likely be Sept/Oct before my appointments were scheduled.

Sounds just like me ! I did it all myself, even down to getting referral numbers from insurance ! I dealt with all the doctors and insurance and billing ! I had no help from my advocate ... I couldn't even tell you her name . It's quite sad ! I basically harassed them since last week and there probably fed up with lol that's why I got such an early surgery date because leaving it up to then would have caused me to wait til December !

Its crazy. I mean I certainly understand I am not the only patient. But one returned phone call or email is not unreasonable to expect. I will have all my test done by the 26th of July and was told I would have an approval answer and date within 72hours

I told them off ... Lol really bad ! I told them they were collecting my co-pay for doing nothing ! Good luck hun !
