I have only taking off for a week after my surgery. I know everyone is different but can you post how long you took off and circumstances surrounding your time please. Just trying to understand and prepare for best and worse case. Thank you.

I had what I would consider a VERY easy recovery. By a week I would have been OK but exhausted. At 10 days I went back to school, which consisted of a 5 hour class where I sat followed by a 4 hour lab where I stood a lot and by the end I was completely wiped out.

I went back to work 2 weeks after surgery, desk job in a medical building.

Run around quite a bit but curtailed that part a bit the 1st week back.

Could have been back at 10 days but glad I took the 2 weeks as I started back to 50-60 hr weeks right away.

I took 4 weeks off, and honestly, I needed every second. I had a very easy recovery, no problems whatsoever, but fatigue was tough. Everyone's different, though, so you may be perfectly fine with a week off. Best of luck with your recovery!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
