Thanks for your input ladies and gentleman. I find it surprising that weight loss has decreased some people's libido. I'm glad I did the poll. (Learn something new all the time :) ).

Please keep your comments (and votes!) coming.

:D

I voted increased....it has! But I think it is because I feel less self conscious about my body, I am able as Wheetsin said to acheive many positions that I was not able to comfortably before (he is not going to be any good to me squashed!!!). And I think the more you get---the more you want, so because of that it increased.

We were told in our seminar that for most women the sex drive will either soar or plummet, due to the hormones in fat cells. He went into detail, I think I was hyperventilating, thinking of how awful that could be...thank goodness it has not been an issue!!

This will be a fun poll to watch!

Depends on the person. No medical reasons that would make you need to wait (that I know of anyway), Just be mindful. If something hurts or is uncomfortable, ease up or change positions.

If you have concerns, stick to the good old missionary position for a while!

I think for us it has changed, It was always good, but now that I feel sexier and better about myself its changed, but I also think for us, when I feel great he notices and then he craves things more..

I use to be like a rabbit until I gained so much weight. I feel so very unsexy right now and like someone shot my crotch with novacane. When I lose weight (in the past) my sex drive skyrockets. I anticipate the weekend when me and my husband don't come up for air for three days.

my sex drive has definately gone up, but then again there are more boys interested, so i dunno which is the more important variable....however, i would definately say that I have a nice drive since I have to keep 2 boys around just in case :) lol

I think when you feel better aobut yourself I think your more likely to take your clothes off. I use to dread it, even though I had a high sex drive I was more embarassed than anyhting. NOW leave the lights on the door open, who cares who hears me.... heheh

there should be a class somewhere we could take for those of us who have likely grown shut... since its been soooo long.

they...dont grow shut, REALLY.. i think....

to answer the question for myself, ive only been banded three weeks and i am a solitary practitioner, but the IDEA of it has definitely increased.

ideas...plural...

  • 1 month later...

my drive hasnt necessarily increased (always been rather high - i would be very happy 2x a day)

my husband's on the other hand ... yup, gone up significantly. back to where it was when we were first married.

trying different positions, etc ...

oh, and my Frederick's package will be delivered today .. that should make things interesting... he has no clue i ordered anything. :guess
