After a week on Puréed foods, not bad I don't have an issue with the looks of it. It still taste ok. It takes me an hour to eat about 2oz of food. But I don't get sick or anything. I took the advice of my NUT and eat very slowly and really make sure I chew it even if its puréed.
Since the surgery it's been hard to drink Protein shakes as the chocolate vanilla and strawberry make me wanna vomit. I did find that the nectar lemon tea flavor is about the only flavor I can even get in my mouth. So I try to get half my protein from that and the other half with puréed foods.
As long as I eat slow I never feel uncomfortable. But I am full. I only eat to make sure I get protein in. Otherwise I'd not eat cuz I'm not hungry. Ever.
Water is the best thing to drink for me goes down easily and I do stop drinking 30 min before I know I should eat and don't drink for 30 min after I eat. Again advice from my NUT.
Hopefully this path continues. 3 weeks post op. down a total of 13 lbs since surgery and 33 lbs total since pre op.
hope everyone else is doing well on their journey!
