I am new to this site and looking for people to help me along my weight loss journey. I have one more appointment with surgeon and dietitian before my paperwork is submitted to Aetna. Then the dreaded waiting game begins.

    I have completed all my evaluations, X-Ray, blood work, Nutritionist and Doctor clearance appointments, and I am 24 hours away from my VSG surgery. Two weeks of pre-op dieting have taken 16 lbs. off my goal and the prospect of my next week being all clears will be "interesting". It has taken a year to get to this point; but, I am totally committed to making successful use of my VSG tool.

    NPO after midnight, check-in @ 12:45 pm, and my surgery begins at 2:15 pm.. I am good to go!!

    Good luck on your surgery! How did you do on your liquid diet? How long did it take for your insurance to approve you?
