I wish this all wasn't so confusing, all the stuff you have to know, the medicines to take post op! Any help ideas would be great!

Do you have a surgeon yet? If not, shop around as there are apparently huge differences

in the kind of follow-up care you get. My pre-op diet was 2 weeks low-carb diet. Post-op

was 2 days liquid, 1 week full liquids, 1 week puree, 2 weeks soft food, and then regular

food. Very easy! But the best part is, the follow-up is a 2 year program with monthly

meetings with the nutritionist, exercise trainer, and psychologist, plus regular follow-up

with my surgeon. The nutritionist gave me a notebook with easy instructions and

suggestions for each stage, when to add Vitamins, etc. Very straightforward and easy.

It doesn't have to be complicated. I feel so lucky I ended up in such good hands!!

Good luck to you. This is an amazing journey!

Great! As you get into it, you'll find they'll be a lot of help. Just take one step at a time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
