September 19, 2013

This will be my first major surgery. I'm a little nervous about the whole thing and am hoping to make friends who will help support me and me supporting them. All of this is completely new to me. I don't know what else to say, but I'm excited to meet people in the same boat!

My surgery is Sept. 19th also. I can't believe its a week away. I feel excited and nervous at the same time. I am on 2 meal replacements a day and have to have clear liquid the day before.

Yay!! Congratulations! I stayed my liquid diet today and I feel nauseous. Hopefully, you have better pre op results!

hi I am now 4 days post op. Its been a bumpy road. The sleeve its self went well but I had a hernia also. I stayed longer in the hospital because of a fever. Now that i'm home, I am starting to feel better day by day. Its only going to get better from here. I hope everyone else is doing well.

It is a day by day process. I'm glad that you are doing well. Keep it up!

Please add me to the September buddy Facebook group- dec23@columnia.edu

I had my sleeve on september 18th, it was a rough couple first days getting fluids in, but now on 17 post op, and feeling pretty good.

Glad to hear you're doing well. I just started full liquids and I'm experiencing bad heartburn :(

I had my surgery on September 19th!!!! 20lbs down and 2 sizes!

Welcome to the group. Surgery is always a little scary and for this one I was petrified because you don't really know what to expect with YOUR body and you worry about all that can go wrong and if you are going to succeed. You ponder about all the changes that are to come.. Let me tell you I had some complications with my surgery and you know what.. I would do it all again in a heart beat! The hospital I was in took excellent care of me and they were so friendly and caring!

You are going to do great and feel awesome!

Sleeved on September 23 and down 25 pounds. I have had several long stalls and it is so frustrating! I read success stories where sleevers lose 30 pounds a month and I wonder what I am doing wrong!

I am having the same issue. But I believe my issue is not getting enough protein in. So my body goes into starvation mode.

Mine was Sept 24th...down 40 as of today...feelin great
