When did it happen to you?

It happened to me today. I got home from work and found a letter from Blue Cross on my counter. It was nothing I didn't already know, but to see it there in black and white, officially announcing my procedure date and suregery approval was a special moment for me. This is really happening. I am having the gastric sleeve surgery. It hit me in that exact moment and I am so glad to say it no longer feels like a dream. Now, for whatever reason, it feels real. Nothing has changed and yet I feel like everything is different!

So when did it happen to you? What was your 'It just hit me!' moment?

Then it hit me again when I was in pre-op and they hooked up the IV. I said, "Guess there's no turning back now!" So happy I didn't turn back. Best decision I ever made!
