Exercise and hunger

I just started exercising on a regular basis now at 3 1/2 months out. The elliptical shows I burn roughly 400 calories in 45 minutes. Instead of increasing my appetite with exercise, it is suppressing it. I am worried about not getting enough calories in now. Anyone else have this issue?

You know it is interesting you say this..I am finding after tough workouts I am not hungry at all. I do try to drink a recovery shake after workouts since I can count proteins and liquids as part of it. I don't know if there is a science or not behind it.

I am glad it is not just me at least! I would love to know why we feel this way!

I feel decreased appetite after long cardio sessions but increased appetite after strength training.

But regardless of my hunger, there needs to be some post exercise nutrition....I try to at least drink a protein shake.
