Sorry to hear this semester has been so hard for you. I'm glad you're motivated when getting on line to chat with us - because we want you here (selfishly!) and we miss you!

Definitely sounds like you need a fill - it makes a WORLD of difference!!

KAYDOT!!!! Nice to see you!!! I'm with you on the stalled weight loss. I'm trying to get a fill ASAP but ran into a SNAG....

I'm SO PISSED!!!!! I thought I found a very convenient fill Dr. who said that they'd do fills after my first consultation for $150....fairly reasonable I think, so I already called my surgeons office and requested a copy of my medical file. Called the hopefully new fill Dr. today and am told it will cost me $500 Just to "Join their program"!!??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? What kind of BS Is that!? On top of charging me $150 a fill!?? NO FRIGGIN WAY!!!!

So now I'm looking for another fill Dr. I think there is another one a little less convenient, but I know another patient of my surgeons who is using her so I'm just waiting for him to send me her contact info and then I'll call her. But that means it may be a little longer now til I can get a fill....I'm realizing that I really do need one of course and am anxious to get one sooner rather than later!!!

STEPH....I've had the opposite happen w/me when it comes to the mirror/pictures of myself. I look in the mirror or at pictures I took over spring break and just go "UGH....No wonder people haven't said anything about my weight loss b/c its barely noticable and I still have so far to go!"

It's a bit discouraging, especially since my scale is not moving.

I've been tracking my calories for the past few days and I seem to be on the high side of 12-1400 a day :-(

UGH.....gotta get out of this funk!!!

JILL.....hope your daughter is recovering OK....maybe you should think about talking to someone about what happened (a professional, not us goofballs) to work things out? just a suggestion.....

DD has strep. She had me look this morning before I left for work and I saw spots. Sure enough the dr confirmed it was strep, so shes on penicillin. Hopefully it'll knock it out of her before Saturday.

Bk - it'll happen when you least expect it to - suddenly you'll go "wow, thats me!" I had another nsv today. One of the guys at work said you can tell Steph is losing weight, she doesn't wear those big baggy clothes anymore (I think he was looking at my butt LOL ) I actually am between sizes, my butt is a 14 but my waist is a 16 - it drives me crazy! So yeah my butt looked good today but if he had seen the fat flopping out at the waistline he may have thought differently. Still it was nice to hear.

VaBand - That sucks about the fill Dr. What a load of crap! Dont settle for that... the Dr. should NOT be charging a "sign up" fee. Keep looking. That is insane.

Kaydot - HELLO!! so happy to see you and get the update... We are always glad to see you. I wonder how sweethot is doing. We never see that girl anymore.

Steph - Cant wait for the day that I see it. I still feel huge. :cry

We really do need to get a talk show to pick up our stories. So, we can all meet up and show the world what can be done with support and understanding.

Brandi - OMG girl! You LOOK FABULOUS! Look at what a cutie you are! I love the April head shot - you're actually smiling, and it looks like a genuine "happy" smile!!! No wonder the boys are all over you!!!

I agree we need to do something we all have the support of each other we all help each other and we each other understand all the feelings we are going thru. it would be fantastic to meet all of you. You are my second family

bk- I am doing good but I stalled again with my weight but its ok I know hopefully soon I reach my sweetspot:) I think I may need another fill because I am hungrier at night and can eat a lot more but I also know it just my head being crazy lol . so lets hang in there and we will do it yay!!

Buy some food items and make him a yummy dinner the first night you guys are together... it will be a good way to chill for a few hours and just catch up :-) plenty of time to talk, and you are FEEDING him... what man doesnt LOVE that??

hi girls what is the web site again for yahoo I know some one pm'd it b4 but I cant find it! I was to go see B-man's new pics!

I went to my fm dr today to get my thyroid checked it has been enlarged lately and I have been having other symptoms that it may be acting up again. I dont know -- so I had a bunch of blood tests, may explain why my losing is soooo slow but on the other hand I have never been able to lose weight anyway!

I am so proud of you all with your 40-50-60 and UP weight losses! I am going in for another fill this monday for sure! I am going to call tomorrow for an appt!

Brandi - you and I are very alike - I'm not even comfortable posting pics because I don't see myself as any smaller yet. But I know I am, the scales say so, my pants say so, my friends & family say so. You need to listen to me rather than the voice in your head - you REALLY are a total cutie in that April pic - I'm not just saying it to be nice, I really think it!!!

Maybe I'll post pics this weekend... maybe... Then you'll be telling me the same thing!!

my doc told me my weightloss would be slower because of coming off diet pills but I did not want to hear it he was right

holy cow Bman!!! Brandi you look wonderful!!! What a difference. Come on now and be honest, you've never caught a glimpse of yourself and went whoa is that me? Big difference in your appearance. I really don't think I even come close to that.

Kaydoll!!! I've missed you!!! I'm so happy to hear from you! I understand how hard it is with work, kids, school... but we love you and miss you when you're gone. I hope your fill works. I was in the same place and believe me its so much better to have a good fill! Let us know how it goes.

I went to Bunco tonight - always a fun time with my ladies. I finally spilled the Beans and told them I had the surgery. There were only 3 of the 8 of us who didn't know... but the one girl who was the most interested is at least 100 lbs over weight - she drilled me. So it was an interesting night. But before all that ... I GOT A NEW CAR!!! Well its a 2004 - but thats new for me! For the past 7 years, since the kids started driving, we've been passing cars around until finally I didn't have one and was driving my dh's truck. And we were free from car payments so it was kinda hard pushing me into the whole loan crap again. But I love it and its mine. Oh its an Impala. My son said why would mom want a big car like that? Its not like you have kids, she should've gotten something sporty (hey its got a spoiler) and I said well when I see him I'm going to tell him its so I can fit 2 car seats in the back just in case they have twins. (they just got married and are waiting 3 yrs for my grandbabies)

Claudia - what are you thinking about getting the bf? I agree with bman, dinner is always special.

Va Kirsten - bummer to hear of all that bs with the drs - that sucks! I can't believe they would charge you that extra $500! Hey since we are only 2 hours away want me to check with my dr? He's cute. I know he takes new patients bc I met one the last time I was there.

Jill, Bk remember we all lose differently. I've lost about 37 lbs, and that was from my highest last summer 231- but since the surgery its alot less. I was at 226 before the pre-op diet, lost 8 so at surgery I was at 218 and so since surgery I've only lost about 24 lbs. Don't worry about it, I know its hard but even if its only a pound or two a month, thats a pound or two you didn't gain. And it will come off!
