Weight loss pre-op

I am scheduled in Aug. I have not started my liquid diet yet. I have only lost three pounds as of now. Everyone talks of the pre-op surgery weight loss. Should I be concerned that I have not lost more weight?

    I think it depends on when in August your surgery is and how much weight you are supposed to lose pre-op. What does your surgeon recommend? When are you supposed to start the liquid diet?

    My case manager and nut said they will give me all that info when I have my appt. on July 22nd. I was just wondering is pre-op liquid diet is where you loose all the weight

    Many people lose substantial weight on the pre-op liquid diet. I lost 22 pounds in 19 days on mine.
