Hello Utah!

I'm in Salt Lake City. There are currently 2 doctors I am aware of that do lap band surgery in Utah. Dr Hansen and Dr Alldredge at Alta View. The first Dr to do them in Utah was Dr. McKeen in Payson but he's recently moved out of Utah. To the best of my knowlege these dr.s are it. I was more than impressed with my experience. Both dr.s are very supportive and their office staff is top notch. Kuddos to both of them and extra kuddos to Charlene in their office. She sailed my info through my insurance company in less than two weeks. I started in Dr McKeens office and had been working through them for 5 months and Charlene got done in two weeks what Dr McKeens office wasn't able to do in 5 months. Alta View was wonderful too. Very kind, very attentive, all around great experience.

I live in Riverton. I am going to Dr. Hansen but am waiting until they are able to do their surgery at the Southtown Surgery Center which will save me about $5K so it will probably be a month before I get my surgery done. I was very disappointed that it wasn't going to be sooner but it will be worth the wait. I'm anxious to hear how people are doing who have had the surgery. I've been watching Tasha's posts and am very encouraged by her progress.

I'm amazed how how great I feel. I noticed today, though, I can eat quite a bit more than last week. My first fill is on the 3rd so I guess I'm ready. It's easy as pie.

Good luck and keep in touch.
