Devistated!

So I am feeling really depressed and upset! One step forward 12 steps back seems like! I had my scope done on June 3rd and afterwards they told me I have over 50 ulcers so they told for for 30 days I have to take meds to clear them up so they told me that I will have another scope done June 24 and surgery on July 1st! I went back to the center today for an appointment and they advised me my iron is to low to do the surgery so now it's postponed! I have to take iron pills for 3 months and then go get more blood work gone on sept 6th! So now I'm just hurt and upset and devastated!!! Something I wanted so badly for year it was within reach and now keeps getting pushed back :/

I understand you must be really bummed that you have to wait, but you should appreciate the value of being in the best possible health to have surgery! This is a major surgery & you want to give y

Hugs to you. I would be mad/crushed/devastated/pissed/frustrated as hell, but you need to be healthy first. Recovery is rough enough, you don't want to have other issues to add to the mix. Can you

I'm sorry your having to go through all this.. I know it sucks. Because of my lapband damage which included ulcers and anemia I had to wait 18 months. Trust me when I say it's better to wait. I've see

Well I'm things things r coming to get her for you! Happy your hard struggle is coming to end end and the goal is right there! Good lick

So sorry to hear this :( I can imagine how you must feel, because I know what an impatient person I am, and I'd be beside myself. But from a clinical standpoint, it is the best thing to have found this and treat it. Both of those diagnosis would have a major impact on you and your recovery. Even going in with a perfectly healthy iron level, it can quickly become too low, which is a common problem post op. This way you will be in the best of health and set yourself up for full recovery and weight loss success. Hang on just a little more, and hope you are feeling better soon! (PS - and make sure you take those iron pills correctly to get the maximum benefit/absorption :) )

I have been taken 2 and I'm only supposes to take 1 a day! But my iron has been low for years so I do t understand why they wait right before the surgery to tell me they gotta postpone it they could of told me a month ago you know!

I wonder if its still the ulcers they are worrying about, could they be bleeding?? I know ulcers are something they are really concerned about post-op. According to my surgeon that is the reason for no caffeine right after surgery, they are concerned about our developing ulcers along the staple line from the acid from coffee.
