I had my surgery on Friday. i was extremely exhausted to write you all. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Today is day 2. My first 24 hours were a challenge. I was very thirsty and I had a lot of chest pain and nausea. Yesterday I was able to walk a little around my room. I passed my leak test yesterday morning so they allowed me to drink. However, the sensation of liquid on my stomach increased the nausea pain. I'm trying to work through the pain mentally and drink anyway. I don't want to become dehydrated. My blood pressure was high. In the last hour it appears to be lowering. They wont let me go home if it stays high. Keeping a positive mindset is key for me. Although some things don't look or feel well I have to believe that will pass. I'm taking one moment at a time. Everyday will get better.

It really will! In a couple of weeks it will all seem pretty normal again.
