My son is in the hospital this week...since Sunday. This was totally unexpected. I've been spending the better part of 12 - 14 hours a day at the hospital with him. Being nearly 3 months post-op, I can eat dense Proteins and such. I thought it might be difficult to find things to eat at the hospital especially since most of the time the main cafeterias are closed by the time I want to eat.
Luckily, I've found plenty of pre-packaged sandwiches and salads. For instance tonight I purchased a turkey and jack cheese sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes on a pretzel roll. I deconstruct the sandwich...lose the bread. Take the lettuce leaves to use as a wrap...roll up the cheese and turkey breast...yummy good dinner.
It's been easier than I thought it would but would love some suggestions.
