Starvation/liquid diet stool?

I am day 7 for my 2 weeks pre-op diet. I am on 2 protein shakes a day, and one meal of 4 ounces of meat/eggs/cheese/fish with 1/2 cup non starchy veggies. I can have sugar free jello and Popsicles or 2 broth servings a day too. I am doing okay, but am having some diarrhea like symptoms. It may be from the chewable vitamins or maybe it was the egg, spinach, ham and Swiss omelette, but I was running to the bathroom all day. I looked online and some something about starving/liquid diet stool. Anyone familiar with this? Or is this just part of the process?
