What about BOREDOM?

I'm scheduled for surgery May 15, and starting a post op diet next week. I've really been paying attention to my eating habits over the past few weeks and didn't realize how often (all. day. long.) I eat out of boredom! What that heck am I going to do if I'm not just standing with the fridge door open after surgery?!! reality settling in... Help!!

My NUT recommended taking up some hobbies, kniiting, learn to play the guitar, crafts, blogs, hanging out on this site, taking a class, belly dancing--anything that can ease the boredom and distract from the head hunger! Hope this helps :)

Maybe exercise? Read up on puree recipes for when you are in that phase. Work through why you eat when you are bored, spend time reconciling your relationship with food and eating. There's a lot you can do.
