HELP! Overcome By Crossover Addiction

Sleeved July 2012, Lost 67 lbs! Gallbladder removed Jan. 7th 2013.

Kind of embarrassed to post but I really need some advice.

Have not lost a pound since Jan 7th. Addiction consumes my life now! Phone addiction, games, coffee you name it I have it.

I'm thinking that after 6 months post op there is no more weightloss.

Help!!!

Oh Wow! I am looking forward to what others will say about this too.

Maybe also post this in the Vet's Forum. Maybe they can help.

Can I ask how much weight you still have to lose?

Wow you are so close after only 6 months, that is so great! You have lost 77% of your excess weight, that is quite an accomplishment in only 6 months.

I have read this "Many swear by the fat/calorie shock as an effective weight loss stall or plateau buster. Having a day of higher fat and calorie eating followed by a returning to consistent low carb high Protein eating can sometimes "shock" your body back into weight loss mode."

I have also read going back to the beginning helps. But I can only tell you what I have read. Good luck.

I think that because of our "addictive" personalities it an easy thing to do... I notice that I spend to much time on this forum. I tell myself it will be only temporary because I get bored easily,

But I'm still here months later.. I went camping this week, it was good because it helped me put things into perspective.

Perhaps devoting some of your "down" hours to anything but those vices you just mentioned?

Even saying "ok for 1 hour a day I will not touch these thing I will do something that involves moving" It can be as easy as walking or cleaning the house.

Addictive personalities can get addicted to ANYTHING!!!! This is a big problem for me, too. I tend to get obsessive about things: hobbies, interests, whatever. Do you have a therapist? That would be a help to you.

Thank you Kimmie! It's been 9 months. Very inspirational I needed that. I will give it a try. It'll probably be back to the basics ( yuck )

Laura,

Thanks that's a good idea. I have a very addictive personality. From nightlights to key chains etc only wish this is what my addiction is at this point!

I do have a therapist. I'm working on guided imagery right now problem is I cannot relax long enough to do it. I'm really stuck this time.
