Clear liquid protein vs. water

I'm scheduled for surgery next week and just wanted to clarify about water intake. I have stocked up on Isopure clear liquid protein drink but can that also be considered my water intake also?

    Check with your nutritionist. Mine said that protein drinks do not count as fluid.
