does anyone else have trouble tolerating melted cheese?

Recommended Posts

ok so this is strange. Im 4 months post op and Ive found that I cannot tolerate melted cheese..in anything. I made a spaghetti squash "mac" and cheese and all Im saying is that Im not doing that again! lol. and I find that I feel sick after eating cheese if its melted over things as well. But I can eat it if its not melted and feel just fine. oh the joys of figuring out my new stomach lol. Just wondering if this is a common thing?

I find that melted hard cheeses (like parmesan) work better for me than melted soft cheeses. A little goes a long way, too.

I am 2 wks post op and I am really struggling. I had to stay in the Hosp 1wk bc I couldn't keep down liquids. After I was released I was back in the Hosp 2 days later for dehydration. I'm now home and getting in enough liquids my issue now is getting in my Protein. I don't drink milk and of all the protein powders/drinks I've tried I can't stomach anything. My stomach seems to be hyper sensitive and everything makes me sick. Does anyone else have any problems with nausea and when does it go away? Help pls bc I'm feeling very discouraged and wondering if I did the wrong thing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
