First plane trip post-surgery

This is my first post, although I have been lurking on this site since the beginning of the year. Today I flew from Orange County to Chicago for a week-long business trip. In the past, I have been close to the maximum seat belt span and have been dreading asking for an extension. I even checked the Southwest website and read the rules for "Persons of Size". Yep, that is really the term they use. You should read it; it is an odd combination of insulting and humorous.

So I am down about 30 pounds now and was so happy to buckle the belt with plenty of room to spare. Even better, I was not the fat girl no one wants to squish next to in the next seat. The arm rest was not inching up because of me.

Going down in clothing sizes is an incredible feeling, but this was even better than that. I love the little differences that show how far I have come!
