gout attack night before surgery

I'm so frustrated and upset right now. I made it to Tijuana safely a few hours ago. The plane ride and everything else went great. Throughout the day, however, my foot has been getting more and more sore. I know the signs well-I'm having a gout flare up.

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning with Dr. Garcia. Now I don't know what's going to happen. More than likely, I'll be in a lot of pain and will have difficulty waking. I wonder if he will cancel my surgery? I hope not.

Hopefully he can give me something to treat the gout. Here in the U.S. I would probably get prednisone. Not sure if there is anything he can do for me here.

I feel so defeated right now. (Sorry. I just needed to vent.)

My husband has gout and takes colchicine when he has an attack. Daily he takes colcrys and allopurinol. Colcrys has replaced colchicine. In the past year.
