Anyone using NWWS Everett?

Any issues with them? I think I have everything turned in and ready to submit my packet, but can't get ahold of the insurance gal to make sure. Just wonder if this is a sign of things to come from this office...

Never mind. I looked it up, and had actually seen that posted before. I will ask them when I finally make it on the table :)

Oh i am SOOOOO not thinking about the EGD and the 'size' eeeeek! I'll let you know how it goes and what it was like afterwards. I have a good friend who's had several over the last couple of years (she has issues and they have to do something to fix it which EGD is part of..) anyways she's very blase about it, and having picked her up the last couple of times she's done it, she seemed relatively unfazed.

Glad ya'lls packets are finally showing up ;-p! Can't wait to hear about your approvals and surgery dates!!

Journeygrl I hope you had more luck than me this week. I had an email Tuesday morning saying my packet would be put together that day. As of 10 minutes ago (its friday!) insurance hadn't yet received anything. And so I wait, frustrated. I will be calling Monday to figure out what is going on. Tuesday will be 4 weeks from my last appt and me giving them what they requested. I've been very patient. think it's time I get a little attention!

Yikes, that's not good. I would definitely ping Trish and find out what the heck is going on with your paperwork!

How do you know insurance doesn't have it yet? Did you call them? She called me Tuesday night and told me she would call me back on Wednesday. I heard nothing, so I called her Thursday and she said she had sent my packet Thursday morning. I wonder if I should follow up??? Not cool!!!!!

Just to inject a bit of calm, it's entirely possible that your insurance HAS received it but it hasn't been processed yet, so it's not in the system. It also depends on how the packet is sent, right? Is it faxed, couriered to someone, or sent priority mail? I'd probably wait until Tuesday before I was seriously concerned.

Dealing with all this red tape just makes me crazy, and I am still a bit behind you two :/

Thank you!! She said she faxed it. I believe her. I know she has been crazy busy, and said I should have an answer by next Friday. When it's all over, good or bad, I'm sending her flowers!!

Any post-op people from NWWLS on this forum still??

I'm not post-op... my surgery is april 9... my endoscopy is april 4.

What questions did everyone ask in their consult?

Curious what I may have over looked?

I asked about plication because I wasn't super familiar with it. Between talking to Denise Wood(s?) on the phone several times, then listening to Dr Chock, everything was covered. Sorry I can't really help :(

Ok, Trish got back to me about a week ago and said she had sent everything to insurance. I let it rest last week, called this morning and I am approved! I'm a little in shock since I didn't really have a lot to give insurance. I'm not exactly a doctor person, so the only doctor notes I had we're chart notes from foot surgery 6 years ago and the notes from my babies births, all showing my weight. I was sure they'd ask me to get a PCP referral but nope! Now I will be devising a plan on what to tell my boss so I can take a week off and use sick time to cover it.

That's awesome!! congrats!! I've seen here and a few other sites that people say they are getting hernia surgery if they don't want to tell folks -- recovery, i guess, is very similar.
