No weight loss.

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced very minimal weight loss after 2 week post. I am post a month and from week 2 to 4 there has been a 2 lb loss. There is no way I am eating enough that the intake calories vs deficit of a 338 lb man are being met. What am I ding wrong?

Have you started a workout plan? And are you getting in all of your fluids? Getting ENOUGH calories?

I have been getting between 500 and 700 calories. Exercise I have been bad about. Liquid had been hard. And I don't think I am doing all if it.

I've seen a lot of posts on here that say if you stall, to INCREASE your calories and your liquid, and it usually will break it. Your body may be in starvation mode from so few calories.

I feel the same way it's been exactly.. Im post op 1 month now & I'm not losing n e thing.. I lost 20lbs & that was it.. I'm stalling 2weeks now & Im barley eating... I don't no what I'm doing wrong but you not alone babe... I don't no how some ppl are loosing so much..

I had the same problem stalled for almost two months, it wasn't until I stopped drinking the protein shakes and was able to eat my protein that the scale moved. For me I just can't do anymore than 20-25g of carbs plus I upped my water to over 100oz.

I have only been eating like 4 times a day, probably more than I should each time, but not 5 or 6 times per day. This is a full time job. I think my consistency is kind of a problem.

My NUT and surgeon only want me eating 3 meals a day, plus a snack. I am usually between 800 and 1000 calories total, and way over on my protein. I do think I need to try to get in more liquid though - only been getting about 6 cups a day, and really want to shoot for 8.

Mate if you have a search of the forum. Week 3 and / or 4 stalls are as common as mud.

Sounds like you're headed in the right direction. I wouldn't worry about 'tweaking' my calories at this early stage. You sound like you're having a good amount.

Make sure your getting adequate Protein. I like to get the vast majority of mine from food. Make sure you're getting adequate Water. Make sure you're moving. Exercising 5 - 6 times a week for 30 - 60 minutes is good. Walking is great early on.

Protein / water / moving is all I'd worry about at the moment.

Good luck!

Anthony. Good luck. I'm 12 days out and today was the first day I haven't lost. Down 12 in 12 days

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. I will try and get it strait:-)

You'll be fine - we're all a work in progress!!
