Questions on liquid diet

Tonight I ate a brothy Soup that had some mushrooms & tomatoes in it----at a restaurant. I had them use a blender to make it all broth.

Is that ok, or are light vegetables blended up a no-no?

I'm 7 days out from surgery.

    If you are still in full liquids that's not a good idea..

    But when you get to purée stage that's fine:)
