Gall Bladder?

I have seen several people on this board talk about having their gall bladders removed after having the sleeve. Is this a complication? What causes it to happen?

rapid weight loss can cause gall bladder attacks. I don't think they know exactly why this happens, although there are some hypothesizes.

My doc put me on medication that I have to take for 6mo post-op to hopefully keep my gallbladder healthy.

My doc told me that it was likely a result of some low calorie/low fat dieting I did in my 20s, Shortly after going off the diet, I started having attacks. He said that going low fat can start the problem and then reintroducing the fat, causes the attacks....

I had mine out years ago so thank God I don't have to worry about this post sleeve.
