Head Hunger

Wow. I can't believe how powerful it is. I had my first fill a few days ago, and it takes less food for me to feel full, but I still want to eat. I mean, I really want to eat!

How does everyone deal with this?

Well, I have found that if I still keep eating the band will punish me for it... so that is how I handle it. If I am stupid enough to eat when I am not hungry, I deserve what I get.

Drink.

When my head is hissing that evil whisper in my ear,"eeeeeeeat something," I grab a glass of ice Water or Crystal Light and, most importantly--GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!

Back away from the refrigerator, Lady, and no one gets hurt.

I get this too - and if I eat, wow - watch out - pb city - heck, if I eat that last greedy bite, its all over - too bad I forget and go through this almost every day - I am pigheaded!! <grin>

I, too, have been amazed at how powerful the head hunger is. But I've also come to realize that when I just HAVE to have a candy bar, if I wait a few minutes (not easy), the craving goes away. I used to just give in instantly, so I never had a chance to find out that it would go away in a little while. I also use drinking a glass of water and waiting a few minutes before deciding if I'm actually hungry or not.

I am punished with a PB if I eat too much. The head hunger is sometimes bothersome, but most of the time I am able to handle it. However, sometimes I annoy myself because I have actually gotten mad because something tastes so darn good and I just want to eat a little more of it, but I just can't. Hmmm, no wonder I am fat.

It took a while. The first six months are hardest. For me, the first year, but then I am more ornery than most. Find something else to do with your hands, suck on some sugar-free candy, etc. Journal about why you might be so eager to eat.
