Unplanned meals away from home

Today is the first time I've forgotten to bring my lunch with me to work. I live an hour from my office--I can't just run home. I have nobody to eat lunch with, so I don't want to go to a "real" restaurant.

So it brings up an interesting question....

What can I swing through a drive-through and buy that's healthy and tolerable for me...and has a good amount of Protein?

Suggestions...?

:rolleyes

And don't say a grilled chicken sandwich without the bun because that stuff's like plastic and I'd have to chew it for like 2 weeks before swallowing it.

Emergency food,

7/11 or similar,

A can of baked Beans , simple ,healthy ,cheap and more than a big enough serve.

I carry a cheap can opener and spoon in my car.

Mark:)

The beans at Taco Bell have 180 calories and 7 grams of fat. Not a horrible choice. I have had them a couple of times in a crunch. Katt

I keep a few of those tiny ziplock bags with a scoop of protein powder in each in my desk drawer for emergencies. If things get crazy and I just can't sit down for lunch, I know I can always make a shake at my desk.

shakes, protein brownies, tuna lunch packets...I keep all those in my car for emergencies...

if all else fails I go to Kroger and get a yogurt or soup
