OK, I did a google and found out you are talking about Text Messaging.

I don't do text messaging!!

I use it some, but sometimes it's just annoying and gets in my way. If it's the right word it can save some typing.

You can save your own words in it that's what I am doing. Your right it saves a lot of time. I don't want to go back to tapping, it just makes my thumb aches.

I LOVE IT!!!! im a big texter so it saves alot time.....

I saw some quick tips in using t9. Whoa.. I never thought I can even save url's and names in it. Hope this one helps... http://www.t9.com/learn

somehow my era insisted I learn to use both thumbs along with my other fingers....and I can't adapt to text messaging OR predictive text....

and have the PHONE talk to me drives me NUTS!!!! I don't WANT it to talk to me, I want to talk ON it.....

Probably this should be in the rant section, but I'm proud of myself in that I learned how to use a cellphone. The old ones were just too hard. But our regular phone is sort of like a cellphone and I've learned to use some of the features. So I got a cellphone because Mother is in the nursing home and they don't have phones in the rooms. I got the kind that you open up and talk and close up and hang up. Mother and I both can use this kind. I don't think we're up to text messaging. Besides, that costs more. But I'm proud of myself for figuring out how to at least make a call on a cellphone.
