Depends on what you define as normal. I'm 3 weeks post op and eat things like tuna and chicken salad, as long as it's mushy it goes down fine. If you define normal as a meal like a chicken breast and a salad, I'd say 4-6 weeks out.

2 weeks liquid, 2weeks pureed, 2weeks soft then on too normal but chew chew chew!

Soft proteins at 3 weeks after surgery, canned tuna or chicken, cottage cheese, low fat cheeses, fat free re-fried beans, 5 weeks, chili, etc. where the beef has been cooked more. I do well with Wendy's but it's enough for 4 meals for me as I still can't eat a lot at a time.

This was the same for me. After the 2+2+2 I could start introducing 'normal' foods. It's a slow process.
