Hi I am new to post and my surgery is January 10th!! Excited and nervous. I am "nesting" and getting ready for my new life. What are those items, drinks, Chapstick, or anything that was so helpful for you?

My pill crusher and mug warmer were my have to haves. I couldnt tolerate cold liquids at first and it would take awhile to drink a cup of decaf tea so my mug warmer was like my security blanket. I would carry it all over the house lol. Now that Im 5 weeks out, I have one at work and 2 at home (one upstairs and one downstairs). I dont need my pill crusher any longer though. Im already a lip balm addict so Ive got one in every room and every purse

Thank you so much. I guess I will have cold and hot liquids ready. Not sure which will work for me. Never heard of a mug warmer but I will go look at target. I most worried about getting nausea, but I know it is part of it.

A regular blender, small storage containers, toddler silverware and plates were my must haves. The chapstick too. The first few days a pillow was my friend too. I walked around holding it. If you haven't invested in 3 pill holders, you may want to. They help me make sure that I take my meds and supplements each day and at the right time.
