Taking Medications after surgery

I take several medications daily and am a bit worried about how I will take them immediately post-op. I tried to crush them up this morning as a trial run and nearly vomited. I can get a few in liquids but the other not. What have your docs suggested and when did they let you start taking meds as usual.

I could swallow whole pills 2 weeks post op, but I only take a multivitamin. Are they the types of meds that you could take a small break from, for a week or two?

Think I can get 2 in liquids, one in chewables (10 pills though!) and I think I can get one compounded at the local pharmacy. I wish I could do without, but two of them have HORRID withdrawls. It is nice to know that maybe I can go back to normal pills after a few weeks,
