Hard to imagine

I am 15 days away from surgery. I am scared, excited and every other emotion you can think of. The thing I am having the most trouble with is my vision. I have been overweight all my life. I don't know what it is like to be a *normal* person. I can't imagine what I will look like when I lose weight or how I will feel. I can't imagine people not staring or eating a regular size portion of food and getting up from the table. I can't imagine not thinking about my weight all the time. Who am I going to be when I lose weight? Does anyone else have this problem?

I am having surgery the 3rd, haven't always been plus sized but I'm 25 now and have been plus sized since I was 18. I know the kind of attention I got back when i was skinny so I'm having a hard time thinking it will be the same way when I lose. On the other hand I hate being fat and I so hate my body, I just don't feel good about myself. I'm also married now and am praying that losing doesn't change who I am and affect my marriage. I understand what you are saying and you are not alone.
