Paid Trail Studies

Have any of you guys been approached for paid research studies after or before your surgery. I've already been contacted for two one which I did today that paid 80 dollars. The other is post op which will pay me 300. I guess it's because of the hospital I go to New York hospital @ Columbia it's also where they do a lot of research. What do you guys think of this?

I have not been asked to do any research studies for bariatric surgery, but I have done paid studies on lots of other things in the past. It's a nice way to give your opinion and experience on things while making a few extra bucks on the side.

I have been asked to participate in a study...non-paying but I really don't mind.
