Coffee protein powder!

post-41282-13813661506458_thumb.jpg

This stuff makes me very happy!! I am pre-sleeve, so hopefully my taste buds will still like it after.

20g whey Protein

Has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee.

As all things....moderation. :)

Just thought I would share for anyone else who may like a coffee flavored protein, every once in a while.

This is a really good one as well. I love the flavors.

Fit Frappe is pretty good too. Amazon has it for $40-something but Sam's Club has the same size container for $24.

Can you make this hot without destroying the Protein?

I'm looking for a hot protein drink!

Is it thick, for lack of a better description? I tried a powdered coffee flavored Protein Drink where all I had to do was add Water to its bottle and it was nasty bc of the thick texture.

From what I understand protein does not mix well in hot liquids but is okay if mixed before heating.

You can use milk or water. You can blend it with ice for a thicker consistency. Or just milk or water for thinner consistency. It was not foamy or thick at all - using the shaker bottle.

Ooohhh....wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't "break down." It's kind of lumpy-like. Lol (when hot)

You can drink the click mocha hot, according to the package, but I haven't tried it yet.

I'm pretty sure you can have any of the protein powders 'hot' as long as you don't exceed 120 degrees. That seems to be the magic number for protein powder, and the reason being is because once you get to 120 and over, the protein literally starts to cook, and it clumps up, kinda like eggs. I've have the chike coffee drink hot (115 degrees) and it was good, didn't clump at that temp. I've also had some of my chocolate Myoplex drinks hot also, just keep it at 120 or less and you should stay lump free!
