Hi Stefanie..

what did u eat preopt? I got Protein ...sf popscicals,sf oatmeal,sf yogurt, soups. is that it?i started it today . Not to hungry. More just being worried I'm going to mess up if i get hungry.

Hi! I ate ALOT of soup!! Homemade too-- I also liked malt o meal as opposed to oatmeal for a change--

I would freeze a banana or 2 or other fruit all cut up in lil pieces lol and then I'd put it in the lil food processor and it was like ice-cream! Best if the fruit is very ripe!

I think I did Protein shakes my favs were GNC lean and glucerna

Also the lil laughing cow cheeses and scrambled eggs

Also if u like hot teas- herbal and plain that can help w hunger as well as plain chicken broth

Dont worry about messing up- I did great until a couple of days before and then I messed up but it was still ok

I only took a couple of before pics. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and feeling pretty good. I hope you are all doing well also!

Hello, 3 weeks post-op today and feeling good! I had my sleeve done in El Paso at Las Palmas with Dr. Michael Lara. I live in ABQ:). I hope you all are well. I find this site more difficult to navigate now.

Congrats!!! How u feel

Tomorrow is my final Nutritionis visit before they submit the insurance forms to approve my surgery. I was told I had to lose 23 lbs by then and this morning I reached it!!! yay!. The day after tomorrow I meet with the Dr.....not sure what that is about but it is a counsutation. I'm working with Dr. Vuong at Lovelace Westside.

Also, I found a protien shake that is actually good for you. No chemicals, artificial anything, no dairy or nuts. The brand is called RAW and it isn't the best tasting but I added PB2 to it and it was fine. Low in calories too, but plenty of protien.

I feel good....I definitely struggle right now with getting in my Protein and nutrients, but I assume it will get easier as time goes by. It still doesn't seem real.

Hi ladies!! Just came across this thread. Love that there's a New Mexico group here. I had my VSG at Forrest Park Medical in Dallas on May 7 2014. Almost a year now. I was born and raised here in big city of Carlsbad. Look forward to reading more awesome posts from you all.

I am glad this is here, but i understand it's pretty small. I'm in Los Alamos, and hope to go into surgery in October. I'm pre-op with ABQ Health Partners right now, and plan on the surgery with Dr. Tyner.
