Egd Does Everyone Get One?

I am confused I have not had one and meet with surgeon on the Nov21 to set my date. Will she set me up then? All my blood work is done and in and said its looks great. Should I call?

In my case, I think it's because I have a history of Acid Reflux. I'm thinking he just wanted to make sure things were okay with having had that history. My guess is reflux is relatively common, as is sleep apnea, diabetes, hypertension, etc. where obesity is concerned, so that's probably why so many of us do them.

If you don't have a history with stomach issues, I wouldn't worry about it. But if you are worried still, call; I'm sure they won't mind.

Ok I dont have any of that jusy pre diabetic but it was not on my list to do for surgery. So I won't worry like you said.
