carnation instant breakfast

I am on the liquid pre-op diet and I have to drink 6 packets of the Carnation Instant Breakfast a day and I was wondering if anyone has ever heated the milk instead of drinking it cold? The instuctions on the box says one cup cold skim milk.

    I always drink mine cold, but I don't see why you couldn't heat it.
