Cravings During Preop Diet

It's only day 4 of my three week pre op diet and I have a craving for something sweet. Any suggestions? Two weeks of no carbs and then one week of liquids. My doctor requires three weeks for all patients :(

How strict is your diet? Have you tried protien shakes? Or even maybe like a powerade drink? or even Jello ( i know some allow this)

This diet is two weeks of no carbs. The last week is liquid only. I have been doing the protein shakes and salads, mixed veggies and chicken and fish. I guess it's head hunger. I think I may look at sugar free jello. I've been chewing a lot of gum. I'm just so excited and I know these two and a half weeks are going to drag on!

I know it can be tough at first but just try not to think about it and it will fly by! I am on 3 weeks of liquid and I am just happy I have avoided the headache that comes from no food sometimes ;)

Best of luck to you!!
