I'm also just starting on the journey. I've had my initial consult and my first NUT visit (second one is this week).

Do you have to go for 6 months of visits or 3? I see we have the same Doc.

I have to do 6 months because it's an insurance requirement. I wish it wasn't so, or I would have done this in December, but I'll hopefully make good use of the time by changing some things about my eating habits. Do you have a date scheduled yet?

No date yet. I go for my psch eval today.

Just wanted to say Hi, I am also on the Peninsula. I have been working hard since July/August of 2012 to get approval through my insurance company. I am on day 2 of my pre-surgery liquid diet and have eight more to go, it's been a little rough today but I'm trying to stick to it. I have surgery on the 30th. I 'm really excited but scared at the same time. I hope to make some new friends and find good support

I hope all goes well, I'm very excited but scared also. This liquid diet isn't too bad however, it's hard to be in the same room as my family at dinner. Who's your doctor and where are you having your surgery?

I had a hard time being in the room with food or cooking during pre op too... I went to Mexico for surgery and was with Dr Ortiz at the OCC in TJ.
