Big Day Scheduled!

So, the time has arrived - for so long I have jumped through hoops, completed all the requirements for surgery, met with the nutrionist, PCP, etc...AND today I get that call: Surgery is schedule for October 3rd!

2 weeks away - are you kidding me? WOW, how fast that will go by.

I am terrified and excited all at the same time. I am so nervous I might vomit! :)

Anyone else share the same surgery date?

Any tips from post-op folks?

Congratulations! I had mine two weeks ago today! It was a great decision! Do exactly what you are told and you'll be fine. Do you have a pre-op diet? Follow it. It'll make the post op easier. First couple days are tough, the worst part will be the gas that's in your body, but you'll be amazed how quickly you feel better! I was done with the pain meds pretty quickly. Other than being tired the 2nd week, I feel almost like I didn't have surgery at all! You're going to do great!

My pre-op diet is only the 2 days before the surgery. I will be sure to follow it to a tee, but I am terrified!
